I am an adult lifelong learner who decided to take up piano at the age of 60. I did not start totally from scratch as I played trumpet in high school so I could read the treble clef and have been a social dancer for 15 years so have a feel for tempo and timing.
I have been taking piano lessons from Kurt for 5 years. In our case it is more of a coach and learner relationship rather than student and teacher. I study a mix of popular, classical, praise & worship, and jazz styles.
In classical and well written popular music, we will study the piece as written. In jazz and P&W we frequently start with a lead sheet and I arrange and develop the music as we progress. We will start with a simple LH bass line and some simple RH chord voicings. I will write it out and then share and play it with Kurt. He will critique it and make some suggestions and then challenge me to continue to “layer on” additional devices, chords, moving bass lines, etc.
I originally took lessons from Kurt in his studio. Since he moved to Germany, we have continued on in a virtual format without missing a beat (actually we took one week off while he moved 😊). Both formats are outstanding. In the current setup we both have facial and overhead cameras we switch between and share music via scans and emails.
While I am not yet at the level I would like to be, I find piano lessons with Kurt to be both challenging and satisfying. I practice daily and look forward to our weekly lesson. Kurt is a fantastic person, teacher, coach and friend. I highly recommend him to anyone young or old and beginner or advanced.

I’ve taken lessons with Kurt for a few years now, and have learned so much. One of my favorite aspects about Kurt as a teacher is his patience and willingness to explore areas of the instrument that you as a student are excited about. From pop to jazz to classical and beyond, he showed me how to apply theory and technique on piano so that I can continue to grow on the instrument for years to come. Partway through the lessons, we transitioned to virtual rather than in person. While it’s difficult to replace playing on a real piano in front of someone, I have found the virtual lessons just as helpful. We have no connection issues, and Kurt has multiple cameras in place so that you can still see what he is doing on the instrument. All in all, I found a friend and a lesson teacher and would recommend his studio to anyone.

My love of music is what inspired me to encourage my children’s interest. My youngest is the only one who has a passion for it. We have been with Mr. Kurt for almost 2 years. It was important for me to find someone who not only has the knowledge, but who could foster an environment of encouragement. Kurt took the time to build a relationship and get to truly know him. He has reminded me that all students learn in different ways and has tailored his approach to help my son be successful.
When the announcement came that Kurt and his family were moving to Germany, our hearts sank. We could have easily found someone to teach him the fundamentals of piano, but knew it would not be what our son needed or wanted. We immediately pitched the virtual lesson idea! But, I believe this idea was already in the works. My son has now been completely online in his lessons for over a year. We are impressed with the knowledge he gains, the ease of being home for lessons and that he hasn’t missed a beat. These lessons teach him the music we so desperately want to have fill our home, but it also provides him so many life lessons to carry forward. This decision should be the easiest one you will ever make and one you will never have regret in.

Mr Kurt has been teaching me piano for 2 years. He is so nice and very funny and his jokes will keep you laughing. He has a lot to offer because he knows so much about music. Whenever I make a mistake, he doesn’t make me feel bad about it and tells me its ok and try again. I loved meeting him in person, but online lessons let me keep learning. I wouldn’t want to have any other teacher because he is the best there is.

Kurt is a fantastic piano teacher. My two children are thrilled with their piano lessons. They interact with Kurt online via video. He is patient, gentle and enthusiastic with his approach.
Music and musical notes are a universal language and he has guided my children to the appreciation of this art. My kids began as beginners and have now reached the ability to play much more difficult songs using two hands with various beats and rhythms.
I highly recommend Kurt as your piano teacher!! Lessons online have been just as good as in person!!

Are you looking for amazing piano lessons for you or your child? Well you should go to Kurt Natalori. He can read sheet music immediately when he looks at the music. He does piano lessons at his house and online. He is really good at playing piano. I started with him two and a half years ago and I am already getting better. He is teaching me skills that I never would have known by myself. I have been playing piano for about 7 years and I am getting better and better because of the way he teaches. He is SUPER funny and makes jokes all the time. So if you want some piano lessons for you or your child, go to Kurt.

My oldest son has been taking piano lessons for about 8 years and is still enjoying it. My youngest son is also taking lessons. Like everything else, when the pandemic hits, we transitioned to remote lessons via Zoom. Mr. Kurt is patient and funny. He helps them learn challenging pieces by breaking them into small sections, giving examples, and going through the details. He understands that each child is unique and works with their personality, likes and dislikes when assigning music. The students are involved in selecting the music that they are playing. He teaches a variety of genres, from classic, pop, rag, and jazz to keep it interesting. He makes music an extension of your soul.
